Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the miKind website at mikind.de ("Site") and the miKind newsletter service ("Service"). By accessing the Site or subscribing to the newsletter, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Service

miKind provides a free weekly email newsletter for English-speaking parents living in Germany. The newsletter contains informational content about parenting in Germany, including but not limited to guidance on government benefits, healthcare, childcare, and local resources. The Service also includes a weekly giveaway draw for registered subscribers.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to subscribe to the newsletter. By subscribing, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Newsletter Subscription

By subscribing to the newsletter, you consent to receive weekly emails from miKind. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email. Unsubscribing will remove you from our mailing list and disqualify you from future giveaway draws.

4. Weekly Giveaway

The weekly giveaway is subject to the following conditions:

• Eligibility: Open to all active subscribers residing in Germany.
• Entry: Automatic upon valid subscription. One entry per person.
• Draw: One winner is selected randomly each Thursday from the active subscriber list using a verifiable random selection tool.
• Prize: As described in the weekly newsletter email. No cash alternative is available. Prize values are approximate.
• Winner notification: Winners are notified by email within 24 hours of the draw. The winner must respond within 48 hours to claim their prize. Failure to respond will result in forfeiture and a redraw.
• Prize delivery: Prizes are shipped to German addresses only. Delivery times depend on the prize provider.
• miKind reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the giveaway at any time with notice to subscribers.

5. Content and Information Accuracy

The content in the miKind newsletter is provided for informational purposes only. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all information is complete, current, or error-free. Nothing in the newsletter constitutes legal, financial, medical, or professional advice. You should always verify information with official sources (e.g. Familienkasse, BAMF, your health insurance provider) and consult qualified professionals where appropriate.

6. Affiliate Links and Sponsored Content

The newsletter may contain affiliate links and sponsored content. These are always clearly marked. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. Sponsored content means a partner has paid for a mention or feature; our editorial standards are maintained regardless.

7. Intellectual Property

All content published by miKind — including newsletter text, website copy, and graphics — is the property of miKind and protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit our content without written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, miKind shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or reliance on information in the newsletter.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify subscribers of material changes via email.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Germany.
